Welcome,

...to the the Holiday Issue of of Stephen Tweed's Leading Home Care Report.

Merry Christmas

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christmas CrecheFor those of us of the Christian faith, Christmas is a joyous time celebrating the birth of Christ. It is a time of music and worship and a time for family and friends. At Leading Home Care . . . a Tweed Jeffries company, we celebrate by closing our offices for the week, and focusing on time with family and friends. It is a time of giving and sharing.
Home Health Care, Hospice, and Private Duty Home Care are giving, sharing organizations. The people we know who are dedicated to caring for the elderly and the disabled are special people. We are family.
At this very special time of year, we wish each and every member of our home health care, hospice, and private duty home care family a joyous Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
Happy Hanukkah
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Write articles that establish your expertise.Our friends of the Jewish faith are celebrating Hanukkah. This is a very special family time in many Jewish homes. Hanukkah is a celebration of Jewish national survival and religious freedom.

The festival of Hanukkah (also spelled Chanukah) was established to commemorate the Jewish Maccabees' military victory over the Greek-Syrians and the re-dedication of the Second Temple to the worship of God.

Celebrating Hanukkah

In commemoration of these events, a Hanukkah Menorah (also called a Hanukkiah) is lit during each of the eight nights of Hanukkah. Lighting the Hanukkah Menorah is the central observance of the festival.

Hanukkah is a fun festival, especially for children. After lighting the Hanukkah candles together, families and invited guests will eat and play games. The custom of giving Hanukkah gelt (money) to children has evolved into a gift-giving tradition in many Jewish families today. Happy Hanukkah!

Changing Our Title for 2009

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beginning in January, this newsletter, Stephen Tweed's Leading Home Care Report will become Home Health Care Today! The purpose for the name change is to more clearly focus the audience and content. The rapid growth of "private duty home care" or "non-medical home care" has created some confusion in the industry. Many people think the label "home care" means private duty.
To make it more clear, this newsletter will be focused on providing ideas and information for CEOs and executives of Medicare Certified Home Health Agencies and Hospices. We'll do our best to provide you with the latest ideas and information to grow your business.
Our sister e-newsletter, Private Duty Today! will continue to serve CEOs and owners of non-medical, private duty home care companies.
If you are a leader in a private duty home care company, and are not interested in home health care information, please let us know and we will adjust your subscription. If you would like to receive both newsletters, you are welcome to.
Please don't "unsubscribe."
As a word of caution, if you are a subscriber to this newsletter, and you do not wish to continue to receive it, please hit reply and let us know. DO NOT hit the "safe unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the page. It will permanently remove your current email address from both mailing lists, and you will not be able to subscribe again using that email address.
Thanks so much for being a subscriber, and we hope you will find added value in the new name, new focus newsletter ... Home Health Care Today!
