Leading Home Care’s 2010 Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty Home Care Accreditation Survey
Accreditation is a process for assessing a health care organization's performance in relation to established standards. It is a means of measuring organizational leadership, internal processes, patient or client safety practices, and service outcomes. Accreditation has gained wide acceptance by home health agencies and hospices, and is growing in importance for private duty non-medical home care companies. Accreditation has become especially important in those states that have encountered funding shortfalls for the departments responsible for granting licenses and certifications for home health, hospice, and private duty home care. In several states, the only way to be licensed is to complete the accreditation process. This survey is designed to get your feedback on the value of accreditation, the process of being accredited, and your level of satisfaction with your current accrediting body. Please take a few minutes to complete this quick survey. |
