Promoting Private Duty Home Care in the Air

Yesterday, I was flying back to Louisville from Oklahoma City after speaking for the Oklahoma Association for Home Care at their summer leadership conference.  As the plane dropped below 10,000 feet and I had to shut off my iPad, I picked up the Delta Airlines SKY Magazine and began leafing through the July issue.  Much to my surprise, I found a full page add promoting private duty home care.

Seniors Helping Seniors is a private duty franchise company based in Reading, PA.  The company was founded in 1998 by Kiran and Philip Yocum, and now has over 100 offices across the country.  Their unique proposition is that they hire seniors who want to provide help to seniors looking for help.

I’ll be interested to learn how effective it is for them to purchase a full page ad in an airline magazine.
