Last week, I was having a conversation with the relatively new CEO of a highly successful, steadily growing Home Care company. He has been in his role a few years after taking over the the Founder.
He has run into a few bumps, and growth has slowed, so he called with some questions about organization structure, the sales process, and expanding through acquisition.
I answered his questions as best I could in a short Zoom call, and then we talked about getting his leadership team together to really work on developing a clear, long-term strategy to grow the business and get ready for the future.
As we move into the fall of the year, many leaders in Home Care are thinking about gathering their leadership team together to get ready for 2027. Over the years of leading these executive retreats, I’ve identified ten strategic questions that organizations need to ask … and answer. What we do with the answers guides us toward strategies to grow the business and get ready for the future.
1. Where are we now?
2. Were do we want to be in five years?
3. What are the core values that guide our decisions and actions?
4. Who are our ideal clients?
5. What makes us unique? How do we differentiate our company from our competitors?
6. How do we attract more ideal clients?
7. How do we find and keep the caregivers we need to grow our business?
8. What systems do we need to put in place to automate our business?
9. How will we use AI to automate our business, save time, and reduce costs?
10. How do we measure our success and continuously improve?

- You’ll come up with better solutions for each of the strategic issues that come out of these questions.
- They will be more committed to helping you executive the strategies that come out of the solutions you develop.
